Now that we have retired, and can take all the time we want, we have decided to do a longer pilgrimage this year, starting in Le Puy, France, and walking 900 miles to Le Puy, France. We are standing outside St Francis basilica waiting for Mass. Inside was full 2 hours in advance. It is a beautiful day

We have arrived in Assisi. Today was very special. We will do a proper post tomorrow but here is a photo of us with our fellow travelers Diana and Michelle. We walked arm in arm through the walled gate closest to St Francis’s basilica and received our certificates and stamps on our pilgrim passports.

As we approach Assisi we are really beginning to sense the presence of St Francis. Our little band of pilgrims will be happy to arrive but sad to say goodbye. Diana now calls us her Camino Parents. We are honored to be thought of that way. We had a good talk today with our other […]
